There’s no Summer Rain…

By | Behind the scenes, Music | No Comments

We’ve been busy in the studio recording new material for an upcoming release. We’re really excited about the particular project as it will mark the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.

Plus, we’ve started recording album #4. But that is a totally different story. Too early to tell where this baby is going, but it sure is different from our previous stuff.

April > May

Dear all,

We’ve been kind of shitty posting on this blog lately. Twitter and Facebook are to blame, we suppose. Nonetheless,  has gotten its fair share of attention. Both good and… less good.

We played two awesome gigs in Stockholm in April. The last one in particular went really well and the new songs we’ve added to the set really worked out great.

That would be all for now. But things are brewing, be rest assured.

Bless

Sorry for the lack of updates, but we’ve been crazy busy working our day time jobs, etc.

We are very glad to announce (albeit we’ve already done it on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) that we are performing our first gig since 2011 now on Saturday. Johan Franzén will be joining us on keyboards and electronics. This is pretty much a one off, but this constellation might perform again for smaller house shows or such. No live drums. We are really excited.

is almost done. We’re just waiting for one final contribution to a song, and then it’s just a few tweaks here and there and then off to mastering. It’s a really beautiful record. The songs are really sad, but they make me smile as they make me reminisce of how, when and where they were conceived, elaborated on, recorded and all that jazz. We’re hoping for an early 2014 release at any rate.

See you on Saturday.

Bless!

And you will know us by the trail of reverb

So, we’ve started recording overdubs yesterday. It’s such an amazing feeling when a song you’ve written start to come alive; be it a sample or a slick, new guitar arpeggio.

We have sort of decided the first single, but it’s hard to say when it will see the light of day since we want proper distribution for once. If anyone is feeling up for it, drop us a line at info (at) bolywool (dot) com.

Yet another summer rain today. Usually, I woulnd’t mind, but we were going to have the first BBQ of 2013. Bummer.

Bless,

… And the summer rain

Hey,

Sorry for being a lazy twat and not updating this thing properly.
Paternity leave and some other stuff came in the way.

Nevertheless, we will continue recording overdubs, do some more programming and vocals the coming weeks. Really excited.

Will post more or less daily next week.

Until then,

Bless!

So, back in Sweden after one epic week in Iceland. Our sincere gratitude to Moni for producing/spiritual guidance and letting us crash at his place. So many memories. Vestmanneyjar, Sundlaugin and Reykjavík in general. We sort of realised that Iceland is our spiritual home. The making of (now ten songs strong) will continue in Gothenburg and Borgholm. We’re hoping for an autumn release.

First ray on the darkest of days

Dear all,

We’re currently in the process of pre-production our new EP/mini-album (depending on how many songs that make the cut). It’ll be the best thing we’ve done to date. Since the idea of an EP emerged some months ago, we have called it (Icelandic and Faroese for yes).  It starts where Isles ended and takes us even further into the vast open space of soundscapes. Albeit, we’ve said that we’re going to do a proper pop song  again, so…well, you know… you never know.

We’ll try to upload selected videos from the entire process.

That’s all for now.

So this is the New Year

Calle in Studi Thorshavn

New site is up, thanks to the grace of Gustav Adbåge. Cheers mate.
We’ve got tons of things in our pipeline, and we’re really happy to have new means to broadcast them from.

Will try to import the stuff from the old site in due time.

Until then – be good!
